An “AFAD Awareness Training” was organized at Isparta University of Applied Sciences Gelendost Vocational School in order to raise students’ awareness about disasters. During the training program, students were informed about the precautions to be taken before, during, and after disasters.


Within the scope of the training, the importance of correct behavior in disasters such as earthquakes, fires, and floods, emergency planning, and individual preparedness was emphasized. Participants were also informed about panic management, safe evacuation methods, and basic protection measures during emergencies.


Authorities stated that increasing disaster awareness throughout society is of great importance and emphasized that such training activities contribute to students’ awareness levels and crisis management skills.


The training program, which attracted significant interest from students, ended with a question-and-answer session. At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the trainers by the Vice Director of Gelendost Vocational School, Assist. Prof. Dr. Metin Karaca.
